There's Power in the Root Chakra
The first chakra is Root chakra (Muladhara, prounounced moo-laad-hahra). It is located at the base of your spine, is associated with the color red and is the chakra of stability, vitality, security, and of our basic needs. It is comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, safety, as well as your emotional needs of interconnection, and being fearless.
Our body is always giving us clues for when root chakra blockage exists. You may feel sluggish, inflammation, lower back, left arm, leg or foot issues. You may even notice issues with elimination.
To open up the root chakra you can reconnect with the earth, practice affirmations during meditation or eat foods of the same color of the chakra (such as a bowl full of strawberries) you are trying to balance.
We will explore all of the chakras but there is such power in the root chakra and one that is great to tap into frequently.
Try this affirmation, but feel free to create your own as well,
I am safe. I am connected to all around me that will serve me well. Stability in life allows me to trust the process of life. I am centered and grounded. I am financial secure. I am healthy and confident that the love that I give my body has already prepared me for what waits ahead of me.
